We have no children although 2 years into marriage we became guardians of Kim, lea’s sister, and began raising a 14 year old. Kim is married and has 2 teenage boys so we are pseudo grandparents. Lea and I are members of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Detroit Michigan. As a member of the Cathedral I train and facilitate the Eucharistic Visitors and operate the sound system. I serve the Bishop as a member of the Commission on Ministry and as the chair of a diocesan sub-committee tasked with developing a vision for lay ministry in the diocese and developing a diocesan program to meet that vision. I am a graduate of the Whitaker School of Theology (diocesan school). In 1995 I began serving as an Episcopal Chaplain and am presently serving at Southshore Medical Center in Trenton Michigan. In addition to hospital chaplaincy I am a research biologist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, at the Large Lakes Research Station, where I conduct research in methyl mercury and its movement in the Great Lakes ecosystem.
